Ireland Student Visa From Pakistan

• You hold an unconditional or final offer.
• The course is full time and daytime.
• The course runs longer than 90 days.
• The programme sits on the ILEP, or comes from a provider authorised under TrustEd Ireland.
• The programme includes at least 15 hours of organised daytime tuition each week.

• Complete the online application on AVATS.
• Select visa type Long Stay D, reason Study, journey type single entry unless you have a reason to request otherwise.
• Print the Visa Application Summary Form.
• Sign and date it, and record your visa application reference number.
• Book your appointment with VFS Global Pakistan.
• Submit your passport, documents, and biometrics.

Photographs

• Submit two recent colour passport photos taken within the last six months.
• Meet Irish visa photo standards and show your full face clearly.
• Write your name and AVATS number on the back of each photo.
• Do not send damaged, edited, or reused photos.

Passports

• Submit your original current passport.
• Include copies of the biodata page and every page with visas or stamps.
• Include previous passports where you have them, or a written explanation if one is lost.
• Keep at least 12 months validity from your arrival date, with enough blank pages.

Provide a signed and dated letter addressed to the Visa Officer. State each of the following.

• Your full name, address, phone, and email.
• The college name, the exact programme title, and its level.
• Start and completion dates.
• Why you chose Ireland, this institution, and this subject.
• How the programme links to your past study or work.
• How the qualification supports your career.
• Who pays your fees and living costs.
• Where you will live in Ireland.
• Any relatives in Ireland, the UK, or the EU.
• That you will follow all immigration conditions.
• That you will not rely on public funds or casual work.
• That you will leave Ireland when your permission ends, unless you gain another legal status.

Acceptance or enrolment letter must confirm

• Your full name, the exact course title, level, and duration.
• Start and end dates, and that the course is full time.
• That you are accepted and enrolled, plus the daytime tuition hours.
• Total fee, amount paid, and outstanding balance.
• Whether the college provides insurance or accommodation.

Fee payment evidence

• Official college receipt, bank transfer confirmation, or approved payment receipt.
• If the total fee is below €6,000, pay it in full before you apply.
• If the total fee is above €6,000, pay at least €6,000 before you apply. Your college may ask for more.

Academic record

• Matriculation or SSC, and Intermediate or HSSC.
• O Levels and A Levels where you have them.
• Diplomas, bachelor's, and master's certificates.
• Full transcripts and semester mark sheets.
• Professional qualifications, publications, and academic references where relevant.

For a recent Pakistani qualification with no final certificate yet, add the provisional certificate, the full transcript, and an institution letter stating the issue date.

Gap history

Account for every period since your last full time education. Cover study, work, internships, business, exams, unemployment, family duties, and medical breaks. Support each with letters, contracts, salary slips, certificates, or registration documents.

• Submit a recognised test. IELTS Academic, PTE Academic, TOEFL, Duolingo where accepted, or a Cambridge English qualification.
• Include the official result and the report or verification number.
• Add a college letter confirming you meet its English requirement.

Summary of finances form

• List your accounts and your sponsor's accounts with current balances.
• State your relationship to the sponsor.
• Show fees paid, fees remaining, and funds for living costs.
• Give the source of each major amount, plus sponsor income and commitments.

Minimum funds

• For a course of one year or more, show immediate access to at least €10,000 for first year living costs.
• Show credible access to tuition for the year, and at least €10,000 for each later year.
• For a course under eight months, the figure is €833 per month up to €6,665.

Bank statements

• Provide statements covering at least the last six months.
• Show the account holder name, full account number, bank, branch, all transactions, and current balance.
• Hold the funds for a genuine period. Recent rules expect at least 28 days, with the statement dated within one month of your application.

Sponsor package

• Sponsor letter with name, address, relationship, the exact amount covered, duration, income source, number of dependants, and confirmation the funds are available.
• Proof of relationship. NADRA FRC, birth or marriage certificate, CNIC, or passport copy.

Sponsor income

• Employed. Employer letter, salary slips, tax returns, and salary bank statements.
• Business. Registration, tax returns, business and personal statements, ownership and trading evidence.
• Agriculture. Land documents, income evidence, and lease or sale records.

Large deposits, loans, scholarships

• Document the source of any large deposit. Property or vehicle sale, savings maturity, investment redemption, inheritance, scholarship, or approved loan.
• Education loan. Submit the sanction letter with borrower name, amount, conditions, security, released amount, and proof the funds are available.
• Scholarship. Submit the award letter with organisation, amount, duration, coverage, schedule, and a verification contact.

• Provide proof of private medical insurance for your time in Ireland.
• The policy must name you, the insurer, the policy number, and the cover period.
• It should cover at least €25,000 for accident and €25,000 for disease, including hospital cover.
• It must cover Ireland and be issued in English.

• Include any arrangement you have made.
• University accommodation, a residence booking, a rental agreement, a host family, or a reservation.
• If you stay with a host, add the host invitation letter, host passport or IRP copy, proof of address, and proof of relationship.

Ties to Pakistan

Show that study is your real purpose. Use a career plan, family links, employment or approved study leave, business ownership, professional registration, and property. Property ownership is not required.

Previous refusals and immigration history

Declare every refusal from Ireland, the UK, Schengen, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or any other country. Add the refusal letter, an explanation, and proof the issue is resolved. Also declare deportations, overstays, cancelled visas, and past names.

Translations and originals

• Add a certified English translation for any document not in English or Irish.
• Include the translator name, signature, address, contact, date, and accuracy statement.
• Submit the original and the translation. For Urdu documents, never send only the translation.
• Prepare the original, a clear copy, and a translation where needed. Do not submit documents on USB, CD, or file sharing links.

Biometrics

Applicants aged six and over give fingerprints and a digital photo at VFS. Attend in person unless VFS confirms an exemption. Bring your passport, AVATS summary, appointment confirmation, and document package.

Applicants under 18

• Original birth certificate and consent from both parents or guardians.
• Copies of parent passports showing signatures.
• Accommodation and guardianship details, and the responsible adult in Ireland.
• Fee payment, insurance, and a custody order where one parent has sole custody.

Submission

• Apply up to three months before travel. Apply too early and the file is returned.
• Arrange documents in the official order with numbered dividers.
• Keep your VFS receipt and tracking reference.
• Do not book a non refundable flight before the grant.
