Who we are
This website, AIMarketer.ie, is operated by Tauseef Sarwar, a sole trader trading as AIMarketer, of 9 Charnwood Dale, Clonsilla, Dublin 15, D15 AD6N, Ireland. As a sole trader there is no company registration number. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.
Privacy queries: privacy@aimarketer.ie. General contact: blog@aimarketer.ie. We do not operate a public telephone line; please contact us by email.
AIMarketer has not appointed a Data Protection Officer. Privacy and data-protection enquiries are handled by Tauseef Sarwar and can be sent to privacy@aimarketer.ie.
Student enquiry form
What we collect. Required: your full name, email address, country of residence, destination country, enquiry category, preferred contact method and your message. Optional: your telephone number. We also record the page you submitted from, the date and time of submission, the version of this notice in force at that moment, and a reference number.
Why. To answer your enquiry and route it to the right mailbox.
Lawful basis. When you ask us for information or assistance, we process the information needed to respond and take steps at your request. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, our lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, where the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in receiving, managing and responding to genuine enquiries and protecting our forms from misuse. Sending an enquiry is not treated as consent.
If you do not supply the required fields we cannot accept the form or reply to you. The telephone number is optional and its absence has no consequence beyond our replying by email.
Please do not include passport numbers, immigration documents, medical information, financial account details or other sensitive personal information in the message field.
General contact form
Required: your name, email address, subject and message, together with the page you wrote from, the submission time and the notice version. We use this only to reply to you. The lawful basis is the same as for student enquiries. Without these fields we cannot accept the message.
Newsletter and double opt-in
If you subscribe we collect your email address and, optionally, your first name, along with the page you subscribed from and a record of the consent wording and its version. We send a confirmation email containing a verification link. Your subscription remains inactive and you receive no newsletter until you confirm.
Lawful basis: your consent, Article 6(1)(a). You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting mailings already sent.
Until our automated unsubscribe facility is available, you may unsubscribe by emailing privacy@aimarketer.ie from the email address used for your subscription. We will stop sending marketing messages after processing your request.
Newsletter archive access codes
To open past issues we email a single-use five-digit code to your address. The code expires after fifteen minutes and can be used once. The resulting unlock is held only in your browser for the current session and is discarded when you close the tab. The lawful basis is providing the service you requested, Article 6(1)(b), or our legitimate interest in confirming that a subscriber is opening subscriber-only material.
Administrator authentication
Site administrators sign in with an email address and password held by our hosting and database platform. Their account identifier, email address, role and session token are processed to secure the administration area. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in securing the site, and performance of our arrangement with the administrator.
Article audio preferences and analytics
Articles may be listened to as audio. If you allow functional storage we remember your playback position and playback speed in your browser. If you allow analytics we create a random identifier in your browser and record playback events such as play, pause and how far you listened, along with whether you used a mobile or desktop device. That identifier is not linked to your name or email address, and we do not attempt to identify you from it. The audio player works normally if you refuse both. Lawful basis: your consent.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Every form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script. Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical browser characteristics for this purpose and sets short-lived storage in your browser. We do not store the verification token. This is strictly necessary security and cannot be switched off; the lawful basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the site from abuse.
Who receives your information
We use the following service providers to run this website. We describe each one factually, by what it does for us:
- Lovable Cloud (Supabase) — hosting, database and file storage for the site and its records.
- Brevo — sends our enquiry notifications and newsletter emails.
- Cloudflare — bot protection through Turnstile.
- Microsoft 365 — the mailboxes in which we receive enquiry notifications.
- YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) and Vimeo — only where an article contains an embedded video and only after you allow external media.
We also disclose information where we are required to do so by law. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we run no advertising or marketing trackers on this site.
International transfers
Some service providers may process personal information outside the European Economic Area. We are verifying the relevant processing locations and safeguards with each provider. Further information about a particular provider can be requested from privacy@aimarketer.ie.
How long we keep information
Our retention schedule is being implemented. Until automated deletion is enabled, records are reviewed and deleted manually in accordance with the periods below.
- Enquiries — 12 months after the enquiry is closed, unless a longer period is reasonably required for an active matter, a legal obligation or a legal claim. Deletion is currently manual; an automated process is planned.
- Unconfirmed newsletter registrations — 30 days. Deletion is currently manual; an automated process is planned.
- Active subscribers — for as long as you remain subscribed. No deletion routine applies while a subscription is active.
- Unsubscribed subscribers — we stop marketing immediately and keep only the minimum suppression and consent-withdrawal evidence needed to prevent accidental further marketing. Handling is currently manual. The final retention period for that suppression record is subject to legal review.
- Newsletter verification and archive access codes — invalidated immediately once used or expired, and deleted on the shortest practical maintenance schedule. Deletion of expired records is currently manual; an automated process is planned.
- Raw article-audio analytics — a maximum of 12 months, after which they are deleted or irreversibly aggregated. Currently manual; an automated process is planned.
- Application and security logs — normally 90 days, retained longer only where a security investigation is active. Retention is managed by our hosting platform and reviewed manually.
- Cookie preference record — six months, after which we ask you again. This is stored in your browser and expires automatically.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your personal information, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have information erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability where processing is based on consent or a contract and carried out by automated means, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
Write to privacy@aimarketer.ie. So that we do not disclose your information to somebody else, we will ask you to make the request from the email address we hold, or to provide enough information for us to be satisfied of your identity. We respond within one month, and will tell you if we need longer.
You can withdraw newsletter consent as described above, and change or withdraw cookie choices at any time using the Cookie Notice or the “Cookie preferences” control in the footer.
You may lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission. Current contact information is available at https://www.dataprotection.ie/.
Automated decision-making
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. The Course Finder is a filter that runs in your browser and stores nothing. Cloudflare Turnstile assesses whether a submission is automated; it is a security check, not a decision about you.
Changes to this notice
This notice is versioned. The current version and effective date appear at the top, and we record which version was in force when a form was submitted.
